Feeding the Bees

Hey everyone, there are tons of ways that folks feed bees. Sugar water in my opinion, is the worst ever. Sugar water is just crap and I avoid it at all costs, it really isn't good for bees either. What we do with our Hives is once we have harvested and spun the honey we simply put the frames back next to or close to the hives and let them have a delicious feast which lasts for days.

This is a fantastic idea as tons of wax remains which they harvest, pollen also in many of the comb compartments, honey and propolis all which they re-harvest and reuse!

I recently took these pics which we spun as well as put next to the hives, the bees really go totally nuts for this and the cool thing is once clean about a week later, we simply put back in the hives for the bees to re-work and refill. Just Epic, Bee-Keeping truly is incredible.

Isn't it just amazing what a self-contained ecosystem bees live in. Nothing ever goes to waste and they are just so damn efficient.

The more I work with them the more I realize how truly incredible they are my bru amazing little creatures they truly are. I got stung F#cked up again last night bee suit and all .. sigh! Cheer$;)

Damn dude. Are you not worried about all those stings? I know its a hazard of the business but if you develop any kind of allergy you wont be able to do it anymore. Maybe now is a good time to try make that suit more bee proof?

Lol ye but how ... sigh .. they even got me with gumboots on the top of my foot, when there are 10 000 bees buzzing around they get in how I dunno but they do bruv.

Very cool. You get the honey and leave them the dirty dishes to clean up and refill. Very economical for both you and the bees.

True brother they really are the best house keepers. Last night we removed a feral swam it was one of the most incredible things I have seen probably over a wheelbarrow of comb and honey. Not 1 pic my phone broke FFS :( but we got another uber swarm and a ton of fantastic honey will spin off today!

Dude!! That's huge! You're gonna have to get a body camera to capture your bee adventures. Strap a GoPro to your chest. I bet that'd make for some interesting viewing. It will keep your hands free too.
