Greetings Everyone! ☺️
Paul called for the church leaders in Ephesus. In what was to be Paul’s final discourse to them, the apostle reminded them of how he served God and the people for three years, in the face of severe opposition. Notice, he modelled serving GOD with humility and with tears. Serving the Lord may not always be comfortable, but every tear shed is worth it, for we know the greater promises that we can hold on to.
From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church. When they arrived, he said to them: “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia. I served the Lord with great humility and with tears and in the midst of severe testing by the plots of my Jewish opponents.
- Acts 20:17-19
New International Version
There is much to learn from Paul’s example of selfless service. Today our culture is all about SELF and consumerism has infiltrated even our churches. If we are not careful, we will end up being like those who primarily seek to fulfill their own interests in and through the church rather than look for ways to fulfill God’s purpose for the church in and through them. God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
