Many community members reported that a few users abused the sign-up bonus by creating as many as hundreds of accounts to get ahead of other rule-abiding users. Last night, the team temporally blocked these users' access to the WEKU website, which is the interface to connect to the WEKU chain platform. The team communicated with them to give up the unused accounts and return the bonus to the WEKU Chain.
Why did we take this action?
This is to make sure that the WEKU community is a fair place to play, so that it can grow in a healthy way.
How can a login be blocked?
During the Beta phase, the team builds a feature to temporally block the login to ensure the healthy growth of the community in the kickstart phase. Please assure that, same as the other blockchains, nobody has the capability to access other users' wallet on the WEKU Chain except their own. So NO wallet has been confiscated during this process. Other changes (such as SMS verification during sign-up and switching from WEKU Coin to WEKU Power as sign-up bonus, which were suggested by the community) have already reduced the typical violation behavior of multiple accounts with the sole purpose of racking up sign-up bonuses.
